You are showing entirely too much desperation for a boyfriend. You are equating happiness to having a boyfriend. It is your desperation for a guy and inability to be happily and successfully alone that contributes to you ending up in short unhappy relationships. That and youth and inexperience.

When a person is showing that much desperation to be partnered it really means they need to stop looking for a partner and learn how to be happily and successfully alone. Only then will you be mature enough and have enough to offer a partner.

The right thing to do is to get a boyfriend not out of just wanting one get one out of the possibility of actually falling in true love with them. The best way to find a good one would be at church or just hang around a good group of people with good morals. Then when there is interest start to hang out more but not with the intent to just start dating with the intent to really truely get to know one another. If things go right you may just get yourself a keeper but if not then you have all the time you need to try again. There are many fish in the sea for someone who is single. Dont let the hype of valenteines day make you feel like you have to have someone to be with just for that day.
